Annual Planning Meeting

Scouting LogoThis is the annual planning conference where the Scouts determine what our camp outs and activities will be for the upcoming 2017 calendar year. The date will be Saturday August 27th from 8AM until noon at LCUMC

What is needed from you:

Scouts: Each patrol needs to bring at least 3 ideas for fun camp outs to the meeting. Your patrol should discuss your ideas at the meetings between now and the 27th.

PLC members (SPL, ASPLs, Scribe, & Patrol Leaders): You need to attend the meeting. Every patrol needs to send their Patrol Leader or a designee (Assistant Patrol Leader, for example) to the meeting. This is VERY important. If your patrol doesn’t send someone to the meeting, your ideas will not be represented and your patrol will not have any votes in choosing where we go. It is also one of your responsibilities for the position you hold. All PLC members listed above should also attend or find a suitable replacement.

Troop Guides: If your new scout patrol does not have a representative going to the meeting, you should be there to speak for them.

Venture Patrol: Our Troop has not had an active Venture Patrol for a couple of years now. We are more than willing to revive the program if there are enough “senior” scouts willing to actively plan and participate in Venture outings. If there is enough interest, we can add a Venture Patrol planning day.
