Toop 843 invites all Webelos from our local Cub Scout Packs to come visit our Troop. Our Patrols will each put on skills stations to teach the Webelos a little about what it is to be a Boy Scout, giving you a great opportunity to show how awesome our Troop is! Our scouts will be demonstrating knots, lashings, cooking, first aid, axe yard, camping and fire building. All of the stations are going to be set up outside, so we will “Be Prepared” for whatever weather might be thrown at us. This event will be held at Lewis Center United Methodist Church at 1081 Lewis Center Rd in Lewis Center on Saturday, November 10th from 2pm to 4pm for Webelos; Troop members arrive at 1pm for setup.
This year’s spooky excursion begins on Friday, October 19th at 5:30 p.m. when we meet at the church for departure to Grand Vue Park. Scouts will be tent camping and patrols will be responsible for their own meals.
Saturday, October 20th: Scouts will spend the day at the Grand Vue Park to include the high ropes course and their famous zip line “The Ride”.
Saturday evening, we leave the park to visit the West Virginia Penitentiary for a behind the scenes tour of the facility and then a trip through the Dungeon of Horrors.
Note: All of the camping/admission fees for these events are included with the cost of the trip. Scouts should plan on attending all of the scheduled activities. Also, be warned… this haunted tour is awesome… it is not your average trip and can get a little crazy. If you do not like this type of activity, this is definitely not something you would want to do… If you do like this type of activity, you might just experience your favorite haunted tour EVER…
Sunday, October 21st – Break camp and plan to arrive at Ohio State Outpatient Care Lewis Center Parking Lot 11 a.m. (approx.)
